Handmade Thank You Card Received from a Senior
“Mary, thank you for another successful concert!
Approximately 30 seniors (19 from Wallace Small and 11 from Louis Dinah)
attended the concert. I was at an event the following day that many of
these seniors attended and the feedback was very positive! As you may
have noticed, the seniors at these centers are some of our older seniors.
We sometimes have to gently coax them to participate in new things. I was
amazed at how alert, alive and interactive they became when John Thomas began
playing! The sing-a-long segment is a big hit! It was a treat for
me to watch the enjoyment this event brought! The seniors really had a
great time and would love to have more of these events. Additionally,
this is a population who can truly benefit from the services provided by the
Senior Life Foundation. The majority of those attending were not aware of
the SLF, so being able to share this information was a big plus! The seniors at
the Arlington Senior Center learned of this event and were asking how they can
get a concert at their center. Maybe next year! Thank you again for all
you do!”

“….thank you so much for the wonderful
gift of $250 for food. I was really in a bind during the holidays. I am
65 years old and
have no money.
I thought
we would have no food at
all for
Christmas….
then I came
across your number in the Grapevine and I called it. I spoke to Barbara
Collins. She arranged this gift for me and it was
a
true blessing. Because of Barbara and the Senior Life
Foundation, we had the most warm and wonderful Christmas. Thanks to all of you who are involved and caring at The senior
Life Foundation….”
